Salon History

In 2007, mother and son Joy and Larry Anguish created a unique salon with a focus on hair design and an atmosphere of a charming, inviting home. Every client of this family business is welcomed as though they were a guest in the Anguish home. The support of family, friends, neighbors, and the Lindale community allowed them to expand into a medical spa in 2011. LaBella now offers a full service salon, laser therapy, skin tightening, complexion-clearing treatments, and hair removal.

Staff Bios

Larry Anguish

Larry began his career interning in New York City as a pattern maker for prominent designers such as Calvin Klein, Perry Ellis, and Bill Blass, and he spent the summer of 1981 designing costumes for the San Francisco Opera. For 10 years at Larry Joseph Design, he designed men's and women's clothing which sold at Neiman Marcus, then spent 18 years at the same company doing interior remodeling and construction. His experience across the country, plus extra studies in Europe, inspired him to create LaBella Salon with his mother, Joy Anguish.

Anthony Davis, MD

Anthony graduated Texas Tech University in 1994 and Texas Tech School of Medicine in 1998, then he went on to complete his medical residency in family medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has been practicing medicine in Lindale for 10 years. Davis lives in Lindale with his wife, Carrie, and their five daughters.

Erica Anderson

Erica graduated Lee's School of Cosmetology in 2002 and has trained for Wella Professional Colorist, Michael O'Rourke Sexy Hair Concepts, So.Cap. Fusion Extensions, and costume and theatrical makeup. She is certified in Brazilian blowouts, Mizani, Depileve wax, and master designer styling. In her more than 10 years of experience, she has won many awards including Extra Mile, V.I.C.A Statesman, and Best in Show for updos.

Carrie Davis

Carrie has received her Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology in 2000 and became a certified medical assistant in 2002. She is licensed by the State of Texas and is a certified laser technician. Carrie is raising five beautiful girls in Lindale, where she has lived her entire life.

Jennifer Holland

Jennifer attended Star College of Cosmetology in Tyler and has extensively studied theory and care of nails. She specializes in Shellac, OPI Gel, and Bristol Light, and she loves educating her clients on proper nail care and new nail technologies.

To be fair and just to competitors making no statements which would do an injustice to fellow hairstylists or barbers.
